This was our first trip to Europe, so we had no idea what to expect. We were warmly greeted upon our arrival by the front desk staff, and she also gave us some excellent restaurant recommendations. Our cozy room with a balcony was spotless. The private bathroom was small, but it served us fine. Our two twin beds were okay, but weren't as comfortable as other places I've stayed; that being said, I've also slept on much worse-I'd chalk that up to personal preference. We appreciated the security measures in place - that we needed to use our key card to get in the building, then again to get to the actual hostel, and a third time to get to our room. We felt completely safe here and in the neighborhood. The property is 2-3 blocks from the Metro, and is close to many markets, restaurants, a laundromat, and is amid a bustling neighborhood. This property is a short Metro ride away to many of the big sights of Barcelona. If you are looking for an affordable place to be your home base in Barcelona, this would be a great option.
