"This is an old hotel and that is the charm. The rooms are clean and typical for Europe with modern bathrooms and high quality toiletries. The service is what stands out and what you will remember. It's how 'it used to be,' and how it should be. People greet you by name at the check-in and are genuinely helpful and kind. The porter is quick and discreet, but you can tell has wisdom to offer if asked. The best amenity is the rooftop pool, deck and bar which serves delicious 'bikini' sandwiches and drinks, including a great non-alcoholic menu, You will enjoy looking at the Barcelona crowds from the roof as you admire the view of the harbor and Sagrada Familia."

The location is central with good access to public transit. Despite being on a busy street, the hotel was quiet. Our room was clean and comfortable, with good-quality linens on the bed. The bathroom was a good size and well stocked with amenities. The hair dryer wasn't working, but it was replaced while we were out, so the issue was handled promptly. Breakfast was very good, with plenty of hot and cold options, including some gluten-free items. Would happily stay again."
