The hotel is a beautiful old building that has been tastefully modernised to include modern conveniences whilst retaining its old world charm. It is located in a pleasant and quiet part of the city close to the metro, shops and cafes. Check in online was super helpful in reducing the time at the counter although the staff were friendly and efficient. We were given an upgrade and that was appreciated, although I think the only difference was that we had a balcony rather than a window. It was a nice touch even though we didn’t use the balcony. The room was well presented, clean and comfortable. Nice quiet air conditioning and superb black-out curtains. The bathroom was spacious and the shower wonderful. The pool area, although small was comfortable with a bar where you could order drinks and food. The bar and restaurant associated with the hotel was a lovely place to have drinks/food although for us (being pescatarians), the choice was limited. All in all we loved our short stay here and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again, should we be visiting Barcelona.

The room was spacious and clean. I used the health club, which was small but had a good variety of equipment. I also had a massage at the spa that was worth the money. The hotel is in a well-situated area near the train station and numerous stores and restaurants. I would stay here again

The hotel is very nice and for the price. The staff is ultra friendly and located in a awesome location of Barcelona. Only thing is out room was near a service elevator so can hear the noise a bit and if people were talking near the door, but other than that, a perfect stay

Really enjoyed my stay, we booked one of the top floor rooms with terrace and lounge pool. The room itself is a regular hotel room, comfortable and loved the large shower. However, the huge terrace was the winner. Nothing beats coming back on a hot day to have a soak in your own private plunge pool to cool off! The breakfast buffet is one of the best I’ve ever seen, maybe it’s a Europe thing but they had everything for breakfast and beyond! Kept us energised and full for hours while we went out to do our touring. I must also commend the staff, absolutely wonderful! I struggle with Spanish so it was lovely that everyone was able to communicate in English, which is a nice reprieve as I’ve spent all day with translator apps during the day. My only two thing that was annoying was the room keys. Those old fashioned swipe cards are always faulting I had to go down to reception around 6 or so times during my four nights to get it fixed as it would keep locking me out. The other is that we had one hour spa included every day of our stay… didn’t find this out until we booked a spa treatment for the last day and they informed us. It should be standard at check in that you’re informed of your inclusions so you are aware and can actually use it. We missed out on that due to no information at check in. Also loved the champagne and chocolates at check in! We absolutely loved our amazing stay, thank you!

Beautiful hotel, I thought the spa would have been included in the price but I had a last minute deal and am not complaining. Location is a 10, and the bar service also. I would really recommend it. I will use it again!
