"Staff owner was very friendly and helpful. Close to beach and shops. Rooms were comfortable and warm. Popular place for surfers as it’s so close to St Clair’s beach. Would stay here again. "

"Comfortable stay for one night. Beds were good. We can’t comment on the food as we didn’t eat there. Staff were friendly. Central location. Short flat walk to two large supermarkets and the historic railway station. Parking was easy on site, although the hotel charges NZ $20 per night."

"I spoke to the lovely manager and she advised me that they are in the process of doing a refresh and remodel of the rooms. Overall it was just fine for one night. The shower was a bit icky. I can see that if they took the time to make a significant investment in the remodel it will pay off especially because nice properties definitely get a return for that investment in city locations"
