The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was included and very tasty. Our room was bare bones, the toilet didn't seem to work properly and we were kind of concerned the sheets hadn't been properly cleaned. Other than that, we'd recomdend this hostel still to anyone simply because of the friendliness of the staff.

Beautiful property, sheets were always dirty getting clean towels seemed to always be an issue as well Jas having hot water in the room or water overall. Far from downtown, you have to get a cab leading to an over priced price.

Fair hotel for the price to spend the night as you travel from one place to the other or if you are planning to take tours for the whole day. Lots of rules for everything, even bed sheets. They ask you to sign a document and charge 80 usd for dirty linens. Breakfast is modest but ok.

Overall a good stay with lovely staff.
Located a bit out of town but taxis cheap and they will happily call one for you when needed. Rooms quite small but ok for one. Very comfortable bed. Shower pressure a bit weak. Staff lovely and very helpful. Good WiFi. Also lovely pool. Could do with more basics like glasses and fridge in room as nothing available to buy on site. Also could do with soundproofing rooms as can hear everything. Overall a good stay so comments meant to be constructive.

We enjoyed our two nights at this hotel. It was clean and safe, and the water was hot. The clerk who checked us in, Carlos, was super friendly and helped us book a trip to the lagoon (which is not to be missed). We would stay there again and look forward to our return to the area.

They only have the “Caribbean breakfast” which is two slices of fruit. One melon and one papaya. Or cereal which they run out. Coffee or juice which are disgusting. They need to improve a lot. The price was expensive for what they offer.

Kitchen service staff - a black mark the property
The accommodation was good. So was the pool, neat and blue. 1. But we realized in end of the day that the door, in spite of being locked inside/outside with just a push it could be opened. They could not fix it even over the next. day. 2. The front office reception staff both were courteous. However the breakfast service person/cook was totally unwelcoming. a. We went for coffee at 7.50am and he made some noise about giving us coffee. I did not mind paying for it. But sounded real complaining in spanish. b. We were 3 of us. during bfast, We just chose coffee and bread. He have us 1 slice each. We request for one more slice..and he made a lot of noise in spanish with the reception staff for just one more slice. Ultimately ...we waited and he never bothered to give us. Simply disappointing .

Plastic on my food!!
Frst day they ran out of coffe, second day it took them over an hour to serve me chilaquiles and i was the only customer sitting there for the first half hour, after that a couple arrived and they served them first, they were heating my chilaquiles on the microwave for over 15 minutes and when they arrived oh! Surprise! There was plastic all over the food, melted with the cheese. The hotel is ok, but eat somewhere else, they give you fruit or cereal for free but if you order additional food it is terrible and expensive for what they serve.

Las instalaciones son muy bonitas. La piscina tiene un ambiente muy tranquilo y romántico. Lo mejor de todo fue la atención brindada por Dona y Gaspar para recomendaciones sobre dónde ir o qué hacer en Bacalar y sus alrededores. Ampliamente recomendado.

La taza del baño estaba sucia cuando llegamos, la ventana estaba abierta y sin mosquitero eso hizo que la habitación estuviera llena de mosquitos, entran arañas, el aire acondicionado tenía una gotera de agua y la cama muy incómoda. No nos quisieron cambiar de habitación. El cuarto muy feo y obscuro.

Rentamos dos habitaciones.. Sin limpieza en uno de los cuartos (el día que hicimos check out nos avisaron que debimos haber dejado las llaves, pero nunca nos los dijeron en el check in) Colchón hundido Dispensador de shampoo roto Hormigas en la cama Baño sucio desde la entrega en ambos cuartos Dejaron la puerta abierta en el que si hicieron la limpieza Uno de los cuartos olía mucho a cigarro La coladera de la regadera de uno de los cuartos estaba tapada y el agua no se iba Detalles descuidados en ambos como la regadera oxidada, puertas despintadas, coladeras viejas, pintura salpicada, en las áreas comunes camas de playa en malas condiciones

Las instalaciones son buenas, aunque la habitación es pequeña, tiene lo necesario. El diseño es increíble y está en un punto bueno de la ciudad. Aunque lo "malo" es que sólo nos hicieron el aseo del cuarto cuando dejamos propina, de ahí en fuera muy bien todo lo demás.
