"We were very pleasantly surprised at the Ayres Hotel. The price is very reasonable and the hotel was really quite nice - especially for the price! The rooms were comfortable, clean and modern as was the rest of the hotel. The lobby and breakfast room were well appointed. And we were surprised to see that a cook was freshly making the scrambled eggs and pancakes for breakfast rather than just microwaving pre-cooked stuff. "The hotel is convenient but the room we were given was run down, lights unplugged with bent power cord prongs, a cut out square of patched carpet. The sink at times wouldn’t drain. If I hadn’t paid such a low price on the room or if we were staying more than one night I would have been more upset."

"The bed was well made for us, and the staff was attentive to needs. Staff was especially kind to us whenever we asked to use the dining amenities even after hours since we had a large group and wanted to eat together. We did have one instance where we did find a cockroach in our room on our 6th day. But the staff was efficient in getting our room cleaned up for us afterwards."

"Our stay satisfactory. We were at Disneyland everyday, so really just needed a bed and a shower. The property is very old and rundown, things are falling apart (shower rail, doors on kitchen cabinets etc), blood/red stains on our carpet, my kids found so much trash and candy wrappers everywhere (not ours). Breakfast was average but it filled us up. Staff were really friendly and very helpful. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly family sized accommodation, it’s satisfactory."
