Be careful with elevator/security man Jim. He did not treat my kids and me with respect. I understand that security/safety is important but the manner by which he did his checking is inappropriate and rude. My son had already pressed the elevator key and about to step in the elevator when he abruptly stopped us and demanded to see our room key. This was intimidating to my children and me. Jim did not apologize or explain why, or did not even say thank you. This was appalling, frustrating, and disappointing. Instead of feeling welcomed, we felt threatened and felt like we were doing something wrong!? We felt targeted and embarrassed. If there were other guests behind us, i wonder if he accorded the same treatment???? Just very disappointed that this is how children and women are treated by a man which is supposed to ensure safety and make guests feel secured and welcome. How rude. He could have asked politely and explained why he is asking for the room key, but again..he demanded to see the room key like we were doing something wrong. If he wanted to verify if we were indeed guests..he could gave (1) begun with a salutation/greeting or welcome FIRST; (2) then ask "which floor would you be heading sir/mam??
*****if the guest(s) could not give an answer, then that's a RED FLAg and that's when a room key should be asked!!!!.
Poor security briefing. Do you even have security briefing??or you just TARGET people based on their demographics or skin color or cultural background????
