It's a quiet place in a quaint location, a easy 10 minute walk from the train station. Beds were wobbly and mattress seemed to rock from side to side, causing me to wake up several times in the night.

Great room in a lovely hotel!
Our room was very spacious, people at the desk very helpful! We stayed there because we had a flight out of Schiphol the next morning. The hotel was close enough, 20 minutes away by car, and we got to the airport easily. Restaurant in the hotel but we decided to walk across the street to another restaurant. We'll consider staying there again if we revisit the Netherlands!

We had so many bed bugs in our room that made us awake all night looking for them in our cloths and remove them from our luggages and made us sleep in the car for a couple of hours on car. They have let us sleep in another room for 2 hours pluse a breakfast and refunded our money but it was nit worth for us as I still have fear there might be few of the bedbugs in my carry ons.

We enjoyed the comfort of a spacious air-conditioned room on an extremely hot day. Despite being on the first floor overlooking the road the room was quiet and we had a good night’s sleep in the comfortable bed.

I liked Stan's service. Our room was clean airy and excellent. He had a pleasant young man(forgot his name) who helped us carry our suitcases up to our room on arrival and down for departure as there are no elevators in this hotel. The breakfast was wonderful and filling. The village is cute, remote and so peaceful. The Chinese restaurant round the corner was very good food. Did not get a change to try the Italinan restaurant around the corner. The grocery store down the street was very well stocked and clean. There is a bus to the train station and from there easy to take a train to downtown Amsterdam Central which we did. My husband has a problem walking so all this bus service from Abcoude helped him go to the heart of the city and we took and wonderful boat ride down the canal. At the central train station there are lots of eating places but expensive. There is a Hop On and Hop Off bus to take to visit all the main places and attractions. The Dutch are kind, very helpful, English is spoken all over, and we had a wonderful time at Hotel Abcoude especially the young lady who spoke to my husband at the hotel and gave him all that information so he got a chance to get see downtown Amsterdam. Slightly dated but great vase for A’dam adventure
This hotel is lovely but it is slightly dated in decor. Set in a lovely little town, it is easy to find from the nearest train startion. Check-in was very easy however we thought we would be in one of their modern looking rooms shown in the first few images on here but ended up in one that hasn’t made the cut to be updated yet and this was disappointing . It worked perfectly fine as a base but wasn’t anything spectacular. Be aware if you’re planning to be in Amsterdam central the majority of the time the nearest train station isn’t included in the gvb daily travel cards which left us spending more on travel than necessary which was frustrating as we read reviews from on here that it was included in it.

Lovely hotel in a cute little village short train ride straight into Amsterdam centeraal, nice been just out of the city! Perfect location, staff are very friendly and helpful. Room was big, and great especially for the price. Completely clean. Great stay! definitely visit again

Excellent sized room, close to the bus stop, 10 minutes from the train station and in the middle of a beautiful town centre. Very comfortable room that was a good base to get back and forth to Amsterdam in about 30 minutes by train. Breakfast was standard. Great espresso! Would definitely stay again.

Amazing. Cute little place with very friendly bilingual staff. Breakfast costs extra but worth it. Roads to get there are small but recommend going for a nice walk and the train station is within walking distance. There’s a restaurant around the corner called “ The Green Duck” which had an amazing waiter and it has a comfortable atmosphere

Family run hotel a 20 minute drive from Amsterdam!
Amsterdam was my destination and I chose to drive. Hotel Abcoude advertises parking but this is very much overstating it. There are limited spaces (8 I counted) for almost 40 rooms and the court yard is a very tight parking spot. Not anywhere I'd want to bring a rental car ever again. The hotel was clean, pleasant and quiet. The room was sufficiently sized and suited to my needs and was clean and comfortably heated. There's a local supermarket nearby to stock the minifridge up with beverages and snacks for respite from visiting the city. The town itself is very nice and typical of Holland. Local eateries are available and it's a great overall spot to spend your time. It's 3KM from Bullewijk.

Good Hotel in a lovely town
This place was ideal for us. The room we had on the second floor was comfortable and cosy. The shower and bathroom were excellent with modern fixtures. Having the train station 10min away by foot allowed us to explore Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht and many other towns with ease. Abcoude itself is a quiet and charming place with lots of eating options.

NO AC, NO telephone. Mosquitoes inside the room!!!
This hotel stay is one of the worst ever...They have 5-6 parking spots near this old fashioned hotel and through the very tight roadway. If you arrive during the late afternoon or night time, you will need to park in the uncovered public parking area approximately 200-300 meters away from the hotel. The room we had was on the second floor and they didn’t have any elevator!!! I have to carry my heavy baggage through the winding staircase, it was very inconvenient. We entered the room and sadly found out that they didn’t have NO AC!!! NO Air conditioner during summer time!!! It’s unthinkable!!! The room didn’t even have a telephone line... horrible... On top of it all, there are mosquitoes in the room. All night long we were bitten by mosquitoes and had difficulty getting a sleep because hot uncomfortable room. They only have a small electric fan to counter the summer heat.. We told the lady in the front desk about our difficult situation but she seems not to care and not even apologetic. We are supposed to stay for 2 nights but we decided to check out and get another hotel instead. We ended up spending more money instead of saving money!! I don’t know why they got 4.2 reviews.. I wouldn’t even give this hotel 1 star if asked to rate it.Very questionable reviews...

Hotel was nice and clean. It has WiFi and air-conditioning. The only thing is there is no local taxis but the hotel is not a long walk to the train. A very relaxing place.
