"Great room, good and clean. Great decor and would certainly visit again. (Too good to say a "stay" as host so personable and friendly). Self check in as such, but only because of our travel time varied, would have been met by owners. Great hosts, giving good local advice and hints and tips, could not do enough to help us a new to the area. Bed very comfortable and certainly a warm room. We felt really at home here. "Not a luxury hotel but for the price its pretty good. The room layout is similar to a chain hotel room and it was clean and tidy. The staff were great and always friendly. I never ate here so cant comment on the food. They have entertainment on at the weekends which you can hear in your rooms but its not excessive and finished at 10 pm each night. I would happily stay here again if i found myself in the area. "

"Its name is completely misleading as it is far from a hotel or what you would expect from a hotel. There are no facilities whatsoever and more akin to a B&B, which would have been fine except for the smell. I cannot recommend this place. "

"Lovely staff, very clean and room was beautifully decorated with little extras like chocolates. Nice toiletries and biscuits too. Breakfast omelette was first class. Definitely recommend! "

"Spotless. Resupply of milk, cookies and other water! Food fabulous! Just a tad noisy it carries, with bar, restaurant all the one room, no carpet but in the summer I am sure with doors open that would soon be fixed."

"Great place to stay in heart of Christchurch, overlooking the cathedral. The renovations are beautiful, giving a relaxing, arty vibe in which to relax, with a high standard of decor. Staff are fantastic, very friendly whilst professional, and made all guests feel really welcome. Great welcome on arrival, friendly, pleasant and helpful. All seemed to enjoy working there! It could do with some sofas/easy chairs for guests to relax in apart from the bar, ‘cafe’, or restaurant areas, but this didn’t...
