"We stayed one night to see Bruce Springsteen in Sunderland. Didn’t get time to use the hotel facilities as we were running late but what we did see and experience was very good, clean and tidy. "Stayed with my wife for our anniversary and was upgraded to a large room. The hotel was lovely inside and the building itself felt grand. It was clean and fresh. Breakfast was cooked with attention to detail. The location was perfect for the centre which was a short 2 min stroll away. Very close to cathedral and river walk/resturants/bars. Car park on site. Highly recommend this place! "

"Beautiful parkland and excellent room and facilities - we enjoyed the spa and gym too. The gym was well supplied with machines and weights. All the staff were friendly and helpful and catered for a number of special requests. A shame we were there on a Monday night when the Orangery restaurant was not open as we would like to have tried it. Would definitely recommend."

"Couldn't fault anything really. Good value for money. Clean and well presented rooms. Friendly staff and there was a lovely aroma in the reception area and the lifts. Not sure if it was an air freshener but it was the first thing I noticed when I walked in. Good choice at breakfast and was nice to use the pool and facilities. All in all a very pleasant stay. Would definitely recommend. "

"Good stay and great location near the millennium bridge and the Sage building. Friendly staff and nice bar, only thing is lots of stag and hen parties, but to be fair don’t really hear them. Good location, parking is limited and the sage car park is expensive. "
