"Simply an amazing stay. We visited during off season and we were the only ones staying at the Guesthouse. Our room exceeded our expectations and the owner could not have been any kinder. They scrimped on nothing even though we were the only guests. We stayed over on a Saturday night and the small racetrack next door was making noise but it was only for a little while. "Lovely hotel to stay at when visiting Addo. Rooms are huge and the bathroom is lovely, especially the outdoor shower. Only downside is there is no door so the light comes in as soon as the sun rises. 10-15 min drive to Addo, not much in the local area. Breakfast was good, buffet selection and eggs cooked to order. Nice pool with towels and sunscreen provided which was a nice touch."

"Lovely people making us feel so at home... Excellent chef Solomon - dinners were a 5 star event! Nice comfortable suite with pleasing gardens well cared for by gardener Nixon. Nothing was too much trouble for Lisa in reception and the lovely waitresses Ashley and Beauty "

"The Blyde Mountain Country House is set back off the main roads, and quite peaceful, charming and very welcoming. Bets (short for Elizabeth) surprised us with an upgrade, and the cottage room was delightful. It was spacious with a small kitchenette and adequate size bathroom including a walk in shower and built in shower bench. We really enjoyed the hot water and water pressure! "We loved our stay at Doorn Kraal. Firstly the staff are lovely and so professional. Our room (the 2 bedroom cottage) was super neat and tidy, and it had everything we needed and it was very quiet as it’s a bit further away. Just be mindful at night, there may be one or two spiders in the trees when you walk to the cottage (have a flashlight). The food was soo delicious, we could not stop thinking about the wonderful dinner. We will stay again. Thanks to all the staff! "

"Booked to stay here for 2 nights after reading the reviews and we are so glad we did. From the moment we checked in and being greeted in the lounge with a drink and then being escorted to our room was such a nice touch. The grounds are beautiful and we wished we could have just stayed here for the 2 days and relaxed but we had plans in Knysna and Plettenberg. "Dune Ridge is situated in its own fenced grounds and so is very quiet and secure. The owner and all the staff are very friendly and the service was excellent. Dinner can be taken at the property and was excellent as was breakfast. Plenty of choice of wines."
