"The staff are unbelievable and attentive. By far the most welcoming staff we encountered in two weeks of travelling through Western Norway. Breakfast has personal options and a great spread. We also had dinner at the restaurant and it was fabulous! Great value at the restaurant and hotel for the services provided. The property is older and basic but exquisitely clean and the hospitality and food made it our favourite hotel of the entire trip! We stayed two nights and wanted to stay longer! You...

"Laerdal hotel is gem between Oslo and Bergen. The fjord views from my balcony were absolutely breathtaking. I enjoyed having a spacious room with a roomy bathroom. The location is very peaceful and everything we needed for our over night stay was in walking distance. The staff was were friendly and spoke English fluently. Parking was surprisingly free, which is non existent for many hotels. Breakfast was buffet style. Timing is important if you want to avoid chaotic feel due to large tourist...

"Location is fantastic. 9* The room size is small clean which is alright. Noisy external tram / train noise. Later midngt, young guys with loud music hanging around. At 3am next door room had late ngts screaming laughing. Hard to sleep."

"The room was clean. There was no hot water in the morning. Something in the bathroom (hot water heater??) was leaking. When had the shower running to try and get hot water, it leaked out of the stall. Soap dispenser was basically empty. Location has conveniences but was a little less than safe feeling. Bad smell in the hallway of our floor. Would not stay again."

"Great front desk staff, provided early check in as soon as the room was ready. The breakfast buffet is well worth the price. Considering what we paid a day earlier for lunch and snacks at Akerbrygge, thus was a steal and really great food and lots of options. Easily accessible within a short walk from the public transport."

"Good location as it was within walking distance of the city center, especially to the Royal Palace and its park. The room was simple and sufficient for a single traveller, but just a bit old feeling. I liked that there was a kettle in the room. Check in and check out was very easy."

"Historic hotel with a beautiful view over the water. Large bedroom- with a sitting area. A kettle ! Nice bathroom with a good new shower. Decent toiletries. Enjoyed view at breakfast. Food very enjoyable and a wide selection. Arrived after a long journey but couldn't get dinner, even small plates in bar, which was a pity."

"Everything was good about the hotel except if you are using the train station earlier than a certain time, you cannot go through the entrance of the hotel from the inside (where there is a working elevator to take you up to the next level. Instead you have to go through the square and down and up stairs (we had several pieces of luggage) and the only elevator to get up the stairs near the train station was out of order). It is not easy with even rolling bags to maneuver with uneven stones....

Værelset var slidt, seng til børnene så dårlig at de ikke kunne sove der, vinduet kunne ikke lukkes (i marts måned). Meget dårlig kvalitet af værelser. Venligt personale og god morgenbuffet."
