"Hotel is situated on a shore of the ocean, so through bedroom windows and balcony we saw only ocean, waves and had magnificent view. Food was excellent in the restaurant, staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was spotles. Highly recommended to everyone!!!!"

The reception staff are simply amazing they even gave us a welcome drink upon arrival, told us everything we needed to know about the hotel and surrounding area. They have been so helpful, informative and generous, nothing was too much trouble. Sofia in particular helping us with our car hire needs. "Overall we had a great stay at the Estalagem do Mar. The staff was very friendly and helpful with last minute accommodations and present to help with any other needs. It was a 3 minute walk away from a little downtown area with restaurants, a convenience store, gift shop, and little stands that are open on the weekends. Would stay here again if we visit Madeira island again! Free parking on the facility was also a huge plus for us! "

"We stayed in the studios which were compact but so comfortable, clean and well equipped with a sea view balcony too. We enjoyed the rooftop relaxing space and the spa and the hotel. It was a bonus to get passes to the pools, beach towels and dressing gowns. The included breakfast was fresh, varied and plentiful. There was nothing to fault about this place. It was our favourite out of 3 we stayed in during our holiday to Madeira. "

"A very special stay 😊 From the elevator arrival, a spectacular view from the bridge to reception and on into the beautiful gardens and mesmerising view from our balcony, this is a unique and special place to stay. A few of the areas are showing signs of their age but everything is very clean and well tended. Eating in the garden restaurant be will hard to beat. The poolside was never crowded and nearby town offers plenty of evening choices plus ocean swimming not to be missed! 100% recommended...
