"A fantastic property. However, if you are thinking of staying at some elegant Victorian hotel, that is not what you get. You end up in a modern hotel devoid of charm but functional. The canal view isn’t worth it. So save yourself a few bucks. The only reason the hotel gets high marks is the staff. They are incredibly helpful and efficient. "

"This is a beautiful property in a historic building near the water. The staff were very friendly and helpful and gave us a warm welcome to the hotel. The location is fantastic for connections to the tram and bus lines going to Centraal Station. Breakfast buffet was very good with many options. The rooms and common areas are filled with character, the beds were the most comfortable of our trip. Would definitely stay again!"

"Thank you for such a beautiful time! If you need to be closer to the airport - this is the place to be. Incredibly modern, clean, and safe -- it is also very close to public transportation. That being said - if you plan on going out & about in the middle of Amsterdam until the wee hours of the night - this might not be the best pick for you - because public transit does stop during the week - and it is FAR from the hustle & bustle of Amsterdam.
