"We recently stayed at Creag Mhor Lodge during a road trip through the Scottish Highlands, and it was easily one of the most memorable parts of the journey. The lodge itself is full of charm—an elegant, historic building with stunning views of Loch Linnhe right from the front door. "Treetops is an immaculately presented accommodation with hosts who were helpful and kind. The room was clean, well maintained and equipped. The good coffee and cafetiere were a welcome bonus. No instant granules here! Breakfast was tasty, varied and reflected a similar attention to quality. The usual cereals and toast were supplemented with a buffet including smoked salmon, venison salami, quality hams and local eggs. "We can’t say enough about our stay here. The owners were two of the most hospitable hosts we’ve ever had. It felt like we were friends who had come for a visit after not seeing each other for many years. Food was great! The room was sweet and comfortable. We loved our stay and will plan on returning when we’re next ‘across the pond.’ When we were leaving, the owner came hurrying out to wave goodbye to us as we were pulling out of the driveway. That’s a first for us! "
