"Situated on the ground floor during a heatwave wasn’t great. We were left wondering if all the rooms in the hotel were full and perhaps they could have located us in a room with a window that opened. The young man who served us for the evening meal was very attentive and very polite which was nice to see. Not so the staff at breakfast."

"The stay was very good but the weather was hot and there was no air conditioning. Also we were in the garden wing which was quite a shock when we first saw it as it looked like a 1960's car park and totally out of keeping with the main building and photos online. "I loved my stay at Malmaison!! Apart from the novel concept, the property was very beautiful and well-maintained, it was centrally located, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. I was nervous about the lack of AC in standard cell rooms during the heatwave, but the building’s cooling system + fan was incredibly effective. We were also provided with complimentary water due to the heat, which was a game changer. I would definitely stay here again"
