Edward Hotel

"Conveniently close to Paddington stn at good price"
Very small room but very close to Paddington station. Reasonably clean and comfortable with a decent bathroom Not luxurious by any means but a good launching point for trips into the city (via train) at a good price Area has several shops and restaurants within quick walking distance in a safe environment Hotel has on site parking (25 pounds/night) which allows for driving tours outside of London (I took advantage of this to travel to Bath,Cotswolds,Warwick, Windsor) Traffic in Paddington isnt so bad as downtown it seems so driving there from Heathrow isnt horrible It suited my needs well as I was really just looking for a convenient place to sleep at night in a good location that facilitated my sight seeing travels. I didnt intend on spending too much time there.

Central Park Hotel

"Good location. Overall, kindaa ok."
The hotel is in a good location. There are good restaurants in the vicinity ( 3-5 mins walk ). I booked for a double room ( room 428 ). However when I went to bed, I realised that I had been given a twin room ---- with two single beds joined to one another. This meant that there was a small gap between the two single mattresses, which was kind of uncomfortable to sleep in. The TV remote control did not work --- maybe the batteries had run out. The walls had scuff marks. Hence I say that the hotel was kindaa OK !!! I expected things to be better.

Hotel Henry VIII

"Charming London Hotel"
We were a little conflicted with the on line reviews from other travel sites regarding The Hotel Henry VII but I must say we could not have picked a better more charming hotel. The neighborhood of the hotel was wonderful so close to the underground stations, restaurants, pubs, shopping and not to mention Hyde Park. Our room was clean with clean sheets and towels daily. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was hot and with great water pressure. We also enjoyed the breakfast offered every morning. I would absolutely stay at the Hotel Henry VII again..

The Cleveland

39-40 Cleveland Square, London - Map
Great hotel! We had a very spacious room with a king size bed (a rarity in London), a sofa bed, a table and a kitchenette with stove, microwave and refrigerator. This was very helpful since we had 2 small children, and eating out gets very expensive in London. There are multiple grocery stores, shops and restaurants nearby. The room was very comfortable and impeccably clean. The hotel is on a dead-end street in a quiet residential area, so there is very little traffic noise, which can be a huge problem at other hotels. We slept with our windows open with no problems. Free wi-fi worked fine. The Bayswater Underground station is a short walk.

Rose Park Hotel

"Cosy and convenient."
The stay at the Rose Park was quite nice. Yes the rooms are small, but we didn't come to London to hang out in a hotel room. If you want that, then plan to pay a lot more money. The room was small, but there were beds for all of the family of four and bathroom and a closet. Kudos to the designer for somehow fitting it all in that space. But it worked. Breakfast was good too. We particularly appreciated the desk staff for how they engaged with our children in our comings and goings.

Pretty decent place to stay, though perhaps a little overpriced. Room was small (normal for this part of London) but clean and recently refurbished. Staff were pretty helpful.

"Nice, clean hotel close to Paddington Station"
We found 27 Paddington to be an excellent hotel choice. The location is very convenient, a couple of minutes walk from Paddington rail and Underground stations. The hotel is clean and the room spacious (for London) and very well appointed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
