"I have stayed at the Monte Carlo for over 20 years and they have always looked after my needs with great care and compassion. The hotel is set in a wonderful position in the town ( not the soulless hotel zone) overlooking the sea and mountains. It’s a period hotel, with tremendous charm with a pool on the roof at a certain price point. We visited in April 2024 and the staff were fabulous and the stay in Madeira a joy. "I liked our room and the ocean view so much! The room was big and the staff was very friendly. They did not have an airco, but we could open the doors at night and luckily there were no mosquitos"

"Great little gem high up on the mountain which gorgeous tranquil views. Receptionist was super helpful and very informative, always helped us where we can. Couldnt fault the hotel, it was a lovely stay, great staff..amazing breakfast and beautiful nooks around the hotel. A joy to stay. "
