"This place was great. We enjoyed the staff, they were so helpful with everything. The food in the restaurant was amazing. The place is a little far but once you get there it’s greatly appreciated. It sits right on the ocean and the view is spectacular!!! They rent motorbikes so it’s easy to get around and visit waterfalls. The rooms are a great size and very clean. I recommend this place to any traveller!"

"My ETA was well past the last check in, but a member of staff was kind enough to stay behind. The dorm had 4 bunkbeds, an AC unit and a fan. The AC and fan worked well. Each guest was given a towel and a locker big enough to hold a large backpack. The bed had an Asian style firm mattress and a thin sheet, a private light, 2 sockets and a small shelf. "This property turned out to a joy. Without exception, the staff were cheerful, helpful and kind. They are led by the owner, a jolly Swiss man who built the resort from scratch. The rooms are huge, with nice bathrooms and decorations. (My only niggle is that the shower was lukewarm at best.) The meals in the restaurant were carefully prepared and very tasty. I would heartily recommend it for a stay that is away from it all and different than most resort. "

"I booked at Golden Gates years back, it went great! I recently booked again at GG because of my previous experience with them. Golden Gates again was a great experience. Staff were very nice and professional. My flight was rebooked and I needed to stay an extra night, the transition was very fast and easy. Stores are nearby to purchase any necessities. If I’m ever in Dumaguete again, I’ll be staying at Golden Gates without hesitation. "
