"The house makes a good impression on the first sight and was perfectly clean. But the kitchen equipment was lacking basics like bread knife (provided on request), a sieve or sufficient amount of bowls. At the stove only 3 of 5 plates worked. Both showers were flooding the bathrooms every time. Sleep was interrupted each night several times by barking dogs in the neighborhood (really noisy) and in two sleeping rooms darkening was not possible. "First time ever we cut our losses and boarded a flight home 60 hours after arrival. This property high in the hills over a motorway in an area with few pavements which where not being dug up was a total rip off. We were expected to know it was up in the winding hills with 24/7 noise from the motorway and nearest supermarket 45 minute walk away. A taxi back in from there cost €15. "The property is close to the Lido Promenade and the views of the Madeira sunset from the balcony are stunning. The apartment is in a well maintained building and had all we needed for a very comfortable stay. The communications with the rental company were very good. They sent videos via WhatsApp to show us how to enter the building and the apartment, where the garbage facilities were located, and other useful information. Lots of pros and no cons. We will certainly look to rebook next year."

"A spacious apartment and clean linen, plenty of storage with a nice view of the ocean from the balcony. Washing machine was an added bonus but kitchen is outdated and was unusable due to putrid smell coming from drains, en suite bedroom tv shelf was held up by a chair, in the shower room the shower head was wrong size and kept falling out of the holder injuring one persons shoulder and one with a cut on his nose.
