"This was our best hotel in all Iceland and we stayed at 10 hôtels! The view is amazing. We had a late check in and the staff were so kind. Amazing breakfast (the waffles were the best we ever had!!!) would 100% recommend this hotel!"

"We liked ked it here. Our room was very spacious. Breakfast was not good though. However, we had to drive through very dense fog to get there. We couldn't see the road except for a couple of feet ahead of us, and we had to drive in a mountain with no guard rail. I'm f we had known about the fog, we probably would have chosen to stay someplace else. Hotel itself was great though. "

"Location on the water was beautiful and relaxing and a quick drive over to puffin island! Breakfast provided was able to cater to just about anyone’s dietary restrictions. "

"Llegamos muy tarde y hubo un error con la reserva. El dueño fue muy amable y nos alojó la primera noche en un Hotel. La siguiente ya pudimos dormir en el estudio que habíamos reservado. El dueño nos pidió mil disculpas y tuvo un gran detalle con nosotros. Sin duda, volvería. "

"We were four women traveling together sharing one cottage. These were very cute both from the inside and outside. It was not too large or too small for four. The view outside was also very beautiful. We only spent one night. Compared to other places that we stayed at i had expected maybe some shampoo/soap and coffee/tea. But it was fine for us since we were there for only one night. "

"Two nights in eastern Iceland - The layout was cleverly designed to accommodate different’classes’ of service - campers, dorm rooms and couples/families. The food was limited but excellent and the hosts were very kind and caring. There were programs in the bar / restaurant both nights but they ended well before bedtime and added to the fun. Highly recommended!"

"A little out of the way but very worth the extra drive - note that the road out to the guesthouse is gravel and the driveway is a bit steep. Lovely clean little house with a nice kitchen area, tidy rooms, and good bathrooms. Great views. Owners and other guests were very pleasant. We didn’t take advantage of purchasing meals but they looked very good. "

"The hostel is good. The rooms are equipped with the essentials and are mostly clean. The common areas could have been cleaner though. The kitchen is not so well equipped. The staff were very friendly and helped immediately with any problems. I would recommend the hostel for a short stay."

"Loved the property. Cozy little place. Appreciated the kitchenette and the small touches like tea and coffee."

"It's a lovely guesthouse in a former school building, with a small room but a comfortable common area and a well stocked kitchen. Beautiful views of the fjord. The area is a bit isolated--just a tiny village, and it takes over an hour to get there from the main road by a steep winding dirt road. We hiked up the hill, but the trail isn't well maintained. It's a great place for peace and quiet, but not as a base for exploring the eastern fjords."

"we loved our stay here. we checked in quite late. it was already pitch black by the time we arrived but we were able to check in with no difficulty. and we were able to see the northern lights! in the morning, we could see the snow-capped mountains in the distance. a truly beautiful location."
