"We stayed for a couple nights as we were attending a family wedding. Location was perfect, close to shopping and restaurants. The onsite restaurant was very good! Pool was great, they could cut down some of the shrubbery around the pool to alleviate the mess and allow more sunlight. Front staff was professional and friendly. Will stay again. Thank you "

"Pros Right on the beach (we stayed in a deluxe room) Clean Free breakfast Kitchenette Walkable town (note: most things close at 1700) Walkable waterfront Friendly staff Can book and board whale watching from the lobby of the Cannery 30 minutes to Butchard Gardens and 30 minutes to Victoria (aprox drive times) Con A pool would have been a nice feature Only two tables in the breakfast area (maybe convert the indoor bike storage to more seating) The deluxe rooms are in a separate building so walking breakfast back to our room was awkward (not a deal breaker) We were travelling with our two teenage sons. My favorite things were walking on Glass beach looking for sea glass and exploring the tidal pools, exploring the town and the waterfront all by foot. Also, visit the bistro on the pier. The fish and chips and atmosphere were awesome! "

"I recently had the pleasure of staying at Wessex Inn By The Sea in Cowichan Bay, British Columbia, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I arrived, the hospitality was outstanding. The staff, particularly Sahil and Michael, were incredibly welcoming and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised when they upgraded my room to a suite at no additional cost, making my stay even more enjoyable. A special mention goes to the housekeeping lady, a newcomer to Canada from Afghanistan, who went above and beyond in ensuring my comfort during my stay. The level of service at this hotel really stood out when I realized, on my way home, that I had forgotten my wallet in the room. I immediately contacted the hotel, and they confirmed they had found it. Not only did they take the effort to send it back to me via Canada Post, but they also only charged me once I had received it – a gesture of trust and reliability that truly impressed me. Overall, my stay was very pleasant, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the warmth and professionalism shown by the staff. I highly recommend Wessex Inn By The Sea for anyone visiting Cowichan Bay!"
