"This is a very old, historic hotel so I came to it with some skepticism. I had some family visiting from the East Coast and wanted to spend a few nights in San Francisco and usually stay in the large chain hotels. "Recently renovated with clean linens, fresh bathroom and shower. Coffee maker in room refrigerator but no microwave. Conveniently located on Market Street in the Castro with reasonable rates and free parking. Street traffic contributes to noise, but each room has separate AC. No noisy gross window units! This lends to nice quiet sleep conditions. We have stayed there several times this year and plan to return love this place."
