"Lovely site. Stayed with seven adults and two children end of September. Great facilities but would recommend a car as taxis are scarce. We still managed to get ferries etc mainly from Portese which is around 20 minutes walk, but a very steep hill coming back. Shop could have sold more provisions and without a car the Supermarket is a long walk. But saying that it is manageable. Saying all that we had a great time . Salo is also walkable even for my husband and I in our sixties "

"Having stayed in the area many times this is by far the best hotel we have found. The hotel is quiet but very accessible for Malcesine via either the tourist bus or public buses. "This was one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The rooms are large, especially in comparison to other room sizes in Italian hotels. The staff are so attentive and kind. "Stayed here for a 6 night stay in Maderno. Unbelievable staff, so friendly and always willing to help. The room was simple but with a beautiful view of surrounding mountains. It was kept very clean. The communual area and restaurant of the hotel was excellent, we really enjoyed having morning coffees there. The staff were lovely and we had excellent Aperol Spritz! Location was insane, close to bus stop, amaxing walks, supermarket, beach and restaurants. Such great value and can't wait to stay again!"
