"The hotel is perfectly located on Princes street. Really close to all the shops and a short stroll across the bridge to Old Town. The hotel is surrounded by busy streets, so a tip would be to pack some ear plugs as noise in the evening and early hours often woke us up. Housekeeping were active (circa 8am) every morning during our stay and were hoovering outside our room before 8.30am which was a little frustrating given it was a bank holiday weekend and we wanted a relaxed morning. "Hotel was in convenient location, parking not too far away, room and bathroom were nice nice but bed was just a murphy-bed and very hard, the kitchenette had good equipment and nice size fridge, useful laundry facilities on the liwer floor. Few things didn’t work (light on bathroom mirror, towel warmer, a door hinge was broken and some coat hooks were placed in a crazy spot -needs some maintenance!)"

"The hotel is beautiful inside . My room was lovely and spotless . The hotel was clean . Most of staff at checkout are task oriented and their attitude does not reflect the level of service I’d expect in this prestige hotel therefore I will never be back . Also a hammering noise at 10 pm that went on for a good twenty mins wasn’t welcome . The waiting staff were very polite and friendly unlike the reception staff . "

"Great location on a quiet street right off the Royal Mile. Steps away from St Giles Cathedral and very close to Grassmarket. Easy walk to Waverley station. Would advise using a cab to the hotel if you have large bags as uphill walk can be tough. Much easier to go downhill. Rooms were great and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again."

"Children allowed in the bar area in the evening, unlike many pubs. Room was clean and modern, but musty smelling, and the lack of shower closure means water gets on the floor of the washroom. The heating/cooling system made incessant clicking noise when turned on, no matter what temp setting, so we avoided having it on overnight, because it would have kept us from sleeping."
