“We will be back!!”

Situated in a nice and peaceful area on the outskirts of Paris, Campanile did not fail to ensure that our stay was as great as it could be. The rooms were greatly designed, as well as the bathroom being a pleasure. It was perfect for a family vacation. Although, the only snag was the lack of television channels for people other than the French. With reference to food, the hotel does not provide cooking everyday but when they do, it is truly indulging! I would definitely recommend breakfast.

“two stops from versailles”

hotel is 1km from chaville rive gauche on the line from paris (montparnesse). use the RER line chaville velizy to get to versailles (€1.70). correct change for station ticket machines. hotel was friendly and held on to my rucsac on the day i was leaving. book versailles ticket online. get to versaille early to avoid bus tour queues.

“Good Service”

Hotel service was good, although my family cannot speak french the staff was extrememly helpful for that! The room was not at its best, but the washroom was very clean. We had to shift from one room to another after the first room was not clean which I was very dissapointed.

“Nice Stay”

The hotel staff was more than helpful, bus station is 1 minute away from the hotel and would get us anywhere. Breakfast was somehow expensive, very nice though. I would highly recommend Campanile for either long or short stays.

“Great hotel for a family”

Great quadruple room, friendly service and very helpful staff. Breakfast was disappointing - no fresh coffee and the vending machine was terribly slow leading to long queues, and all the tables needed cleaning at 7am. We had breakfast elsewhere for our second morning.

“Good if you don't mind public transportation”

The hotel seemed kind of far out - but being from NYC it was ok for my husband and I because the bus stopped right in front o the hotel, and stoped at the Pont de Sevres Line, as well as the RER line C. It was 10 mins from Versailles, and across the street from a grocery store. Bathroom was nice, renovated - room overall was very simple. We didn't eat at the hotel, but the staff was friendly and helpful.

“Could've been better”

When I booked this hotel I did not know that it was in the suburbs. I wanted something that was close to the tourist attractions, but I guess we would've paid for more if that was the case. The good thing about this hotel is that there is a bus stop in front of it that will take you to the metro. Also, there is a mini-mart next to it. We shopped there for food because Paris is just expensive. Breakfast at this hotel is pretty good. It cost us 9 euros for each person, but I think it was worth it. The bed was a tad uncomfortable; the AC was not working so it was warm in the room; the bathroom was clean but it had a nasty smell right after they clean it; staff was pretty helpful. For what you pay for, I think this hotel will do. But if you are picky, then you might want to look at other hotels. I would go back to this hotel only because of the supermarket next to it and also because of the accessibility of the bus. I just wish they can figure something out about the AC not working. (The front desk told us AC is not working in most rooms of the hotel.)

“Nice hotel, little out of Paris”

Good price hotel in Paris, it is about 10 minutes by bus to train station, then about 30 minutes by train from heart of Paris. But that never bothered me as I was only sleeping at the hotel, rest of time sight seeing. Hotel was very neat and clean, with a nice breakfast in the morning.

“Nice area out of Paris at good price.”

For the price I paid room cleanning is the only item that disapointed. The rest was good. Good restaurant, good area of Paris and the best is the store nearby where you can buy a fresh french bread for a nice breakfast in the room.

“Rude staff (even for Paris) and cramped rooms :-(”

The family rooms are way too small even before you bring the 4th bed out. You even have to climb over one of the normal beds to draw curtains. The real killer to me though is the awful attitude of the staff. I know it's Paris and one expects a degree of surliness but these guys set a new low. I will definitely not go to this hotel again and will try my hardest to avoid Camponile as a direct result.
