Kobe MerikenPark Oriental Hotel
4.5 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (1002)
"I stayed at the Orient Hotel for 6 nights. Good location, nice staff, good breakfast and clean. It’s on the harbor so have a beautiful view, there is a plaza by the ferris wheel that is a fun little spot and has lots of good food/shopping. There is a ‘Art and Aquarium’ near by and is worth going to. Enjoyed my stay there. "

The riverside view was really pretty, and they had a nice public onsen bath complete with riverside view, jacuzzi jets, and even massage chairs and complimentary drinks in the lounge area. Could also book a private onsen for ¥2,000 which was really reasonable. Service was excellent; staff were friendly, helpful, and respectful. They had some...

"Our stay here was...ok. Nothing was horrible, just a little off putting. If you just need a place to crash for a night it’s fine. Our host wasn’t exactly welcoming, she didn’t give us much of a tour or explanation of the place. Just, here’s your room and here’s the bathroom and then disappeared. I noticed there were dvds in kitchen area, but no DVD player. There were cleaning supplies left all over the place, like spray bottles and scrub brushes.
