They picked us up from the train station and upon arrival at the hotel, a staff member discussed the amenities, use of the onsen and will answer any questions. The ryokan has a small outdoor onsen. Traditional Japanese breakfast and 12 course dinner are included in the room rate. Overall a wonderful stay."

"Very relaxing stay. Staff were friendly. Beautiful infinite pool (not for swimming). Free In-house public Japanese bath (private onsen is available for a fee). Many amenities provided, yukata, samuye, socks, sandals. The breakfast and dinner were amazingly delicious! We booked a room with a private onsen in the balcony. 3-4mins walk to/from Togendai Station. Very nice day trip on sightseeing cruise around Lake Ashinoko. Shuttle services to Odawara Station but maybe be fully booked!"

Speaking of the meals, they were also top-of-the-line full course experiences that gave you no room for wanting more: both delicious and filling. To top it off, the room we stayed in was immaculate and nailed the traditional feel you would want from a ryokan, accompanied with an awe-inspiring view from our outdoor onsen. All-in-all, it was a fantastic experience that I would recommend to anyone visiting Hakone."
