"Very enjoyable stay. Too hot overnight. Understand Air Conditioning was unavailable, will be better next time. Would have preferred bathroom door to open alternative way. Light very bright when opening door overnight. Or second switch inside bathroom. Bottle of water waiting in room very good idea. Staff professional and pleasant. Good quality breakfast. We will be staying there again."

"Exceptional service in a great location. Oliver is a wonderful host always wanting to ensure guests are looked after and if anything is needed. The rooms are clean, comfortable and well furnished. The location is excellent and the breakfast had a great choice and was of superb quality. The only issue to consider is the lack of onsite parking. There are a limited number of free onstreet parking spaces close to the hotel (which we were lucky to use)."

"We were attending a funeral so not a happy time. The only thing I could fault our stop over was that the nearest car park was 10 minuets away and was time limited which ment we had to go back to pay for our parking before the time limite was up"

"Location was good for Portland attractions. There was a problem with our room which was quickly sorted with the staff. Its a large old house quite dark and cold in the winter. Probably a better summer venue."

"I found the accommodation ample, but I wouldn't recommend it for a long term stay. The room was spacious enough, the bathroom was average. We only needed it for one and due to the fact that the heating was off when we arrived back and it was FREEZING cold with no extra blankets, I wouldn't have wanted to stay there more than one night. All in all it was pretty average. The price was reasonable."

"Breakfast was terrific ,beds firm and comfortable,staff friendly and amenable,on the negative side it’s an 18c coaching Inn and you could be forgiven for thinking that’s the last time it was updated,baths quite high for getting out of comfortably,toilet handle broken and a bare piece of wood behind it used as a supporting spacer,cold water was just above a dribble.Fortunately it was not too cold as radiator Luke warm.Furniture are fixings in and out of room are very tired.
