A picture speaks a thousand words and in the case of wedding photos, each picture carries within it, a tale of love, promises, commitment, passion and joy – making those moments engraved in time.

Love in a Frame

Wedding photography has come a long way and each couple has their own love story to tell because as time goes by, wedding after wedding, I help each couple document not only the big moments, but also, and more importantly the small spontaneous ones instead.

It excites me and moves me when I capture these moments of quiet, serenity and shared intimacy – a loving look, a tender touch. There’s nothing I enjoy more than capturing timeless moments through photographs for the storytelling to future generations – capturing their love for each other.

Destination Weddings in Bali

Amongst all the destinations across the globe, Bali, Indonesia’s most tourist-friendly island ranked as one of the top choice for destination weddings. Bali itself is divine and exotic, a place where brides and grooms-to-be have a plethora of choice from plush beachfront resorts to hideaways terrain and cliff top villas.

For couples who choose to celebrate their special day at a secluded location, I would recommend the Bulgari Resort in Bali, a haven surrounded by the distinct Bulgari style and elegant ambiance. Or, for a tropical wonderland feel, couples can opt to have their ceremony at the Hanging Gardens Ubud.

Whether you select a traditional wedding or an intimate ceremony, the venue itself creates a sense of magic with dramatic views over the river valley and a floating wedding set on their horizon-edged pool. I would definitely recommend couples to organize their wedding celebration at the most iconic chapel on the island of Bali – the Infinity Chapel, Conrad Bali for a wedding venue full of grandeur.

The architecturally unique-shaped chapel comes in an off-set triangle shape, remarkable steel-framed glass and walkways of the finest marble, floating two meters above sea level and overlooking the Balinese sea.

Photographing Weddings

A few tips for capturing the perfect moment, firstly, always stay out of the way to remain unnoticed and the best thing you can do is to use longer lenses for capturing priceless facial expressions and spontaneous moments.

Give the couple space by using longer lenses

Secondly, do not miss the details and watch out for the littlest, unexpected moments – beyond what is expected, especially when the brides and grooms-to-be are sharing their special moments with each other and loved ones.

Lastly, utilize the ambience around the nuptials to the fullest – from shooting through the crowds and glass to using composition to frame people and the dreamy and romantic wedding setup. It may seem easy to simply point and shoot to capture candid moments, however it requires years of experience to identify that exact moment.
