"The breakfast is the biggest shortcoming overall. 1. The breakfast time is only until 10 a.m. Who will get up that early? If this hotel aims to serve wealthy guests, wealthy guests do not get up that early. Extend it to 11 a.m. or at least 10:30 a.m. 2. The breakfast quality is quite poor, with very limited food. "We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very centrally located with easy access to Vieux Lyon. The rooms were clean, quiet and well appointed. The staff was very helpful. We had our dig with us and felt welcome with a comfortable dog bed and bowls provided. There is a nice riverside walk nearby to stretch his legs. We thought that the hotel was very good value for money give the amenities (lovely pool and spa area) and the quality of the service. We hope to return in the future."

"The staff at the Sofitel Lyon were superb. We had an issue with Air France’s missing baggage department, and the staff, especially Valentin, really helped us out of jam. Restaurant was great, location was lovely. We’d never been to Lyon, but we came away feeling it was a place we have to come back to. Thanks in large part to the team at the Sofitel."
