Best location in Zermatt

The hotel was in an excellent location for accessing everything in town and transportation up the mountains. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were large especially by European standards. Although the room decor was basic, the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was large and modern. Breakfast was simple, standard fare. Overall we were very happy with our choice and would stay at Beau-Rivage again.

Location, Attention, and Scenic Vie

The hotel's standout features are its attentive staff and service. Its location is excellent, conveniently situated next to a bus stop, making it ideal for skiing. The beds are comfy, and although both the bathroom and room are on the smaller side, they boast fantastic views. The only minor drawbacks are the slightly outdated decor and the possibly inflated star rating. Nonetheless, it offers great value for the price. Additionally, guests can enjoy a full European breakfast spread, adding to the overall appeal of the stay.

Pros: Great communication and friendly staff. The location is central and easy walking distance to main street shopping and the Sunnegga funicular station and the Gornegrat train station. Cons: This hotel states the rooms are non-smoking, however there are ashtrays on the balconies. When someone smokes on their balcony, it comes right into the other bedroom windows. And on the topic of balconies, there is only a very low, small barrier between balcony rooms, so anyone sitting out on their balcony can see right into your room, there is no privacy between balconies. It also doesn’t feel very secure to leave your windows open at night (the rooms get very stuffy) when someone could just walk right into your room from another balcony. I feel this could be a simple upgrade for the hotel. The pillows are very flat with zero neck support, even if you fold them and double up.

We loved our stay at the Beau-Rivage! The staff were incredibly friendly and picked us up/dropped us off from the train station. The complimentary breakfast was the best I’ve ever had at a hotel — they made whatever type of coffee you wanted and will cook bacon/eggs for you upon request. Also has traditional breakfast items as well as full Swiss charcuterie. Great location and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

It was so beautiful and amazing. We stayed in their mount Matterhorn's view room. It was clean and the service was awesome. The guy (owner's son) dropped us to the train station on our way back. We loved the breakfast and the lady there. Everyone was so hospitable and welcoming. Highly recommended and definitely we will come here again soon.

You should go to Zermatt!

Excellet!! Great view of the Matterhorn. Staff was very nice and helpful. Location was good. Beautiful, clean, modern room. Breakfast was good and staff were accommodating. If lugging a suitcase a taxi might be a better option from train station but you can walk if u want. Great restaurants in the area. Everyone was very friendly.

Tolle Lage und guter Ausgangspunkt zum Skifahren - Skibus hält direkt vor dem Hotel - Aber Richtung Glacier Paradise letzte Station und daher morgens oft schon voll. Wir sind in 10 Minuten zum Lift gelaufen - kein Problem..
