Breakfast buffet was wonderful and catered really well for Gluten Free with gluten-free bread every morning! Professional staff who went above and beyond. Noise from ongoing building works next door unfortunately kept us awake early in the morning. Would happily stay again otherwise as no other complaint.

Not what we thought but better

Zakopane is a huge tourist area now and hotels are tucked into every corner. Hotel Rysy is an amazing art deco decorated hotel on a very tiny side street. But easy walking to the main action. Pricy but tasty breakfast. Great room. Parking is a challenge and on-site parking was approximately $20 US per day. Enjoyed our stay.

Lovely but uncomfortable

Welcoming staff and lovely large room. However not many places to really sit in the lobby that were cosy and not at a breakfast table. The pillows were very very uncomfortable and the room was extremely hot. We had both windows open all night in December even though heating was off room still stayed at 25 degree Celsius.

Our stay was great. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. All facilities were in excellent condition and bery clean. Location is great. I missed the information that praking was not free but that is an obersight on my part (parking everywhere in Zakopane is hard).

A good location

A good location, only a short walk to the centre of town. I arrived on a motorcycle and asked where I could park it as cars were taking all spaces, I was informed i could park in the small underground garage. Next morning was charged 40 zlote. Also they wanted 80 zlote,, £16 approx for breakfast which I declined.

New hotel with rooms alike as in Las Vegas. Mirrors over the bed looks terrible. Some of the receptionists are not professional at all. I am not sure, if I want to return back.

High hidden fees and mediocre service at reception

I find it hard to call this a 5-star hotel. It feels old, the furniture is heavy and outdated, one of two elevators wasn't working throughout our stay (causing long waits for the other elevator), and most importantly - service is far from being at a 5-star level. The guy who checked us in was very grumpy and unfriendly, and on another night - the lady at the reception kept us waiting for over 5 minutes while having a casual chitchat with a friend. (there were, however, very nice receptionists at other times). It's important to be aware of the high hidden fees at this hotel. It advertises competitive prices, but only when you check in, you realize that they charge 80 zloty (20$) as a daily parking fee, while most other parking lots in the city charge only 20-30 zloty per day. With such an extra 15-20% to the room price, their prices are not that competitive any more...
