Boyfriend and I came for the Memorial Day weekend to see a show in Ogunquit, and this was an excellent place to stay.
The rooms look like they were recently renovated, everything was very clean and well designed. The balcony overlooking the ocean was a great addition to the room. All rooms in this hotel have a great ocean view.
Be warned that there is no elevator to the 2nd and 3rd floor, so you will need to take stairs. If you are not able to do stairs, they do have rooms available that are at street level.
Be ready for a very soft bed. My boyfriend and I are used to sleeping on a firm mattress, so if you are expecting something firm, or semi-firm, it is on the softer side. It wasn’t a problem, for us, but if you are used to sleeping on something firmer, just be prepared.
There is no overhead lighting in the main room itself. There were lamps on the dresser and the bed side table, and we loved it, but if you are expecting a light switch to turn on as soon as you walk in, you’ll have to go into the room to get some lights on. There is a bathroom as soon as you walk in that does have a light switch to give you some light as you enter.
Overall, we had a great experience, and would definitely consider coming back if we are ever in the area.
