"There was a good selection at the Breakfast buffet and the cooked breakfasts were delicious. I particularly recommend the Scottish smoked salmon with scrambled eggs. The room was clean. The hand shower performed badly, I found it a faff to get the temperature right and the water pressure was very poor. With no shower curtain the floor became very wet. The creaking floorboards wer atmospheric but not conducive to a good sleep especially when neighbours next door and above got up several...

"Beautiful old hotel with model dining and a beautiful beer garden. Room was great too!"

"The Lookout is in a great central location with a good sized car park, which you have to pay for separately. There is a bar behind the reception desk where we bought a drink. Our room was large and the bed clean and comfortable, but everything looked a bit tired- the cushions were stained and the curtains had a few holes. The bathroom was also large but dated. The breakfast was good and the hot items were well cooked. I would stay again, but I feel that a few updates are needed."

"The food was excellent. The staff were helpful and Friendly. The room was clean, although there was no hooks in the bathroom to hang anything and the shower was leaking at the joint and the temperature control was very sensitive going from warm to very hot with just a minute adjustment."

"Had everything we needed, in a great spot, breakfast great, quite noisy in the room until the pub closed but to be expected when staying in pub rooms. Helpful staff, great pub. Water pump/drain system in the bathroom was really noisy but suppose this can’t be helped with old building like this."

"Hôtel vétuste mais bien situé, la zone n’est pas assez exploitée d’ailleurs. Le gazon synthétique a lavant de l’hôtel est une faute de goût surtout au UK. L’hôtel est vieillot, pas au niveau de sa catégorie. Nous avons par contre très bien mangé au Cost Restautant mais mêmes les olives et le pain sont payant, encore une faute de goût…dommage."

"Great treehouse with buggy. Up early to go around the park with the buggy. Loved the clubhouse bar, toasting marshmallows over the fire. We would return, loved the animals, grounds & restaurants too! "

"Our shepherd hut in Pinewood was spotlessly clean and refreshed every day. Staff were always on hand if needed and really helpful at checkin (the process for checking in and out was seamless). Marshmallows, skewers, logs for the indoor and outdoor wood burners, and upmarket tea bags all complimentary; only let down by basic Nescafé coffee sachets and pots of UHT milk. A small fridge would be useful to allow for proper fresh milk and keeping drinks cool. Beds were comfy and the separated bunk...

"The breakfast menu was excellent, the staff on duty again excellent and helpful. The evening meal had a good range on the menu, your chef was very good and produuced quality fare. Very happy with the cleanliness of my room. the bar and front of house staff were very helpful. In fact the all the staff were a credit to the hotel."
