"This was a great location, I loved the suite style room with many amenties in the kitchenette. The Bar Daniel and roof top were fun and so convenient. The staff was amazing! Only recommendation is to have hand soap in the bathroom. Weird that it's missing and had to use the shower gel."

I had a bad throat - we got some soup from the nearby Harris teeter, and the guy went into the kitchen and heated the soup for me. Over and above. Would stay here again. "

One night we could only sit at the large corner tables because the others were reserved for dinner service, but no one was there or sitting outside. Another evening it had rained earlier and the staff let us sit outside, but wouldn’t wipe off the table because they weren’t serving outside."

The Gate Temple Completed in 1803, this ornamental temple is reminiscent of classical "temples" popular in English and French gardens at the time. With it's pedimented portico and bell-roofed circular form, this structure is unique in Charleston. It deteriorated substantially during the 20th Century and was restored by the financial support from the E. Milby Burton Memorial Trust and the Garden Club of Charleston. The House An outstanding example of the Adam Style of architecture in plan, interior detail, and decoration. The house was designed by Gabriel Manigault, Charleston's most famous amateur architect, for his brother, Joseph Manigault, who acquired the lot in 1802 and built the house a short time later. The lot, which was part of a tract formerly known as Wraggsborough, had belonged to Joseph Manigault's mother, Mrs. Peter Manigault, to whom it had come by inheritance from her father, Joseph Wragg.
