"Appreciate it was a Saturday when I arrived but there was no one at the front desk and I waited 20 mins to check in, then waited a while checking in for breakfast in the morning. The room was small and basic and property very old, I didn’t feel the photos reflected it well. It felt like a travel lodge, which would’ve been better value for money. The staff were kind"

"Great location. Small but clean room. Excellent shower. Outstanding service from all staff. Having to use the adjoining carpark stairway is a bit of a pain and not very pretty. But everything else is great."

"Busy city so traffic to get to parking can be difficult but once parked it's a short walk to hotel and all is good from that point. Helpful staff, clean hotel, nice breakfast, lovely weekend stay."

"I was disappointed that on booking the hotel, I messaged 3 times over a couple of days to check about the parking and the response was not received until shortly before we left for our trip and I had already booked alternative parking. I tried phoning but initially Ai tried to deal with my query and then a call center who did not really know the answer to my questions. When we arrived and throughout the stay, everyone was really helpful and welcoming. The room was very clean and comfortable. We had a very nice evening meal and breakfast. We would be happy to stay here again on our next visit to Bristol."

"There was a problem with the room. But they did move us. I don't think Pets should be allowed in a hotel like this, we were moved as the room next door had a barking dog. Otherwise, beautiful grounds and rooms. Staff at breakfast very welcoming, good quality food. Spa was clean. And a good stay"

"Arriving you have to climb 8or so steeps and there was zero help with the luggage. Then you have to drive your car to a parking lot which is 5 minutes by car (as so many one-way streets) and then 5 minutes walk back. Arrived and people at front desk were kind and helpful (other than lack of bellmany but office door open, paper shredder working overtime, and it wasn't the wonderful experience I had hoped on first entry. Rooms well appointed with water and soft drinks (not a single biscuit or crisp -strange) but all in all nice, but not up to top par as it suggests Location perfect but please "fix how we enter our stay as it set the tone in the wrong way" and give me a biscuit for my tea in the morning"
