"The room was new and clean, however the bed was awful. The amenities, other than a nice pool, were just not there. The property itself could use a refresh. But, the view was wonderful, and the hiking trails were great. "

"It’s a cute small inn hotel, I wouldn’t stay in the rooms over the bar again, they were far too loud from the bar with music every night and an ac unit in the window that allowed all the street noise in. The room needs some updated blackout curtains to keep it darker at night as well. The location is great and close to downtown square."

"Property is clean as you walk in. They have a small restaurant inside and small convenient store with snacks. Staff is extremely helpful. Seth was the one who got us checked in and he was amazing. Room was clean and very fresh. "

"Our stay was great! Flora & Fauna is a really cool place to stay. It honestly felt like we had the whole place to ourselves which was super cool. We brought our little dog and he loved the property too. All in all, we LOVED our stay. Here are a couple of things that would have made it just a little better: - Breakfast: We found Blanco Brew a little too far to walk to every morning so we ended up driving. It was fine with a pastry and a drip coffee but a little lacking compared to other hotels....

"The staff was very nice and helped in getting us a couple of extra request we needed. The only comment I’d make for some improvement would be to update in usb ports for charging phone etc. Lowering the bathing products so younger shorter kids can reach them and an adjustable shower to make it lower and easier for shorter than a 6 ft person to adjust the spray head and lastly heavier comforters for the bedding. Had to ask for more blankets. Otherwise nice room at a good price and staff was very...

"When we got to our room the sheets looked like they were dirty. I let the staff know and asked them to change the sheets. They made our beds but didnt change our sheets like requested. "

"What a gem this place is! I have now booked here twice, once for girls weekend and now for family weekend with 2 littles. Town is about a 20-30 drive but it doesn't feel like it at all and there are so many activities to do in New Braunfels, Seguin and Gruene. From splash pads, river tubing, parks, restaurants, hiking trails, antique/boutique shops, etc. there is so much to do. I highly recommend Hideout at the Horseshoe for a getaway- its magical!"
