Independent Williamsburg hotels

"I am a Hilton Honors member and so have stayed at a whole string of the Hilton chain hotels over the past couple of years. Places like the Hampton Inn, the Hilton Garden Inn, etc. I was so impressed by this Wingate Hotel and even told the front desk that the layout, the functionality of things, the amenities that are available, the cleanliness of everything, even the smell of the hotel in every part of it that I went through was clean and fresh. I was impressed with the room in every aspect. And of course, the staff themselves were excellent. A gentleman named Draper was there when I checked in late. The gal who was at the desk when I left the next morning, her name was Sarah. They were just great. I'm so impressed and I look forward to staying there again not only at that one in Williamsburg, but wherever else I could go to a Wingate. Don't change a thing! :-)"

"Everything from check-in to when I left was perfect. Peyton at check-in was extremely accommodating, moving my room to be adjacent to others traveling in my party. Recommendations for places to eat were perfect and conveniently located. Was only in the area for 2 days for a family gathering, so really didn't utilize the kitchen much, other than the fridge for beverages. Plenty of fresh towels in the bathrooms. Check out was a breeze. Will definitely consider staying again if we are back in the area. "

"1. The outside pool was closed it should of been open. Both pools look ready. Jacuzzi was going the whole time we were their. 2. I ask for someone to come at unit before we leave due they put 200.00 on your credit card I said we are not to want anything. Ask later again then was told incase for damage. I said before we leave I want the manager to check it. The time was set for 9:30 did not arrive. I texted them and was told will come when we leave. I called said the same thing again. I do not trust knowing that charges would be put on my card then I said we will not leave untill manager arrive. 20min later a young kid arrive that is NOT a manager. He said it is clean!! I pointed out something that I pointed out earlier that week. It was not taken care of. This experience that we went through should NEVER have happen. 3. When you ask a question was told go to the map. Could of said and gave you a visual aide land mark. "

"Our stay at Days Inn was wonderful…we enjoyed our stay…the only thing we wish can improve is the pool area…The pool wasn’t pleasing and can be cleaned more."
