"This is not walking distance from the Manchester airport. Just a heads up. Shuttle was not running & I found out that it only runs a few hours very early mornings. So just be prepared to spend 15 to 20 pounds for a taxi ride. With that said, great place. Needed a place to stay for about 10 hours to get a shower and nap before my next leg of an overseas flight. Also didn’t want one that charged me $250 for that privilege! Premier Inn was the answer. I love their clean neat rooms, comfortable...

"The location is excellent wit convenient connections to terminals and rail station Access to the hotel however is a big problem if you arrive late in the evening. After a flight that arrived at 11.15 pm I arrived at the hotel door just before midnight. The door was locked, no sign of any staff at reception Pushing the bell button multiple times had no effect. The possibility of entering through another entrance on ground floor involved a walk via railway station and walk around a traffic round...

"The staff were very welcoming even when we arrived very late (23:50) somewhat wet and bedraggled after a horrendous drive in the rain up the M6. We were met with an understanding smile and given clear directions to our room. The room was clean and warm with a comfortable bed. The room overall was a little tired. We would be happy to stay again."

"After finally being allocated a room, the room was stiflingly hot as this was the hottest May on record, and the in room AC did not work. As such we had to open the window later that evening when the outside temperature had dropped low enough, but were then unable to get any sleep as the hotel backs on to a railway station, and we had to listen to trains arriving and departing probably every 10 mins or so until about midnight. We were leaving the hotel at 3:30am and so had not sleep at all."

"We were very unimpressed with the state of the building. We were in a tiny room in the attic with a bathroom that had no air con or extraction or any window that would open. The main room had a single socket that was practicably useful but from which it was impossible to position a fan to point at the beds. The patio area outside had broken glass on it that they seemed oblivious to until we raised it. It was cleared up half an hour later. There was torn wallpaper in one of the corridors....
