"Room was spacious and clean. Seemed to be updated. It included a fridge, microwave, ironing board and iron and a hair dryer. Bed was comfortable. It was located in a busy section of town but I felt safe. No elevator for second floor. "
Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Cookeville by IHG
8/10 Good
"The room is in need of an update with old chipped furniture. There was a big water stain on the blinds of the window from the ceiling.
But it was mostly clean, with a decent breakfast. "
"Parking is too small in comparison to the rooms. Property is a bit run down. Fairly easy access from highway travel. Fuel stop and Waffle House adjacent. "
"Had to change plans last minute when my previously booked hotel gave away our room and was overbooked-the entire nearby city seemed to be booked solid due to cheer comps. Called Hilton bc I have stayed there before and is def a go-to (just was out of budget for this trip), and thankfully they had rooms still open same night-so I ate the extra cost. Booked online quickly through the app and arrived an hour later. Kids in lobby were insanely loud due to echoing even after 10pm. Room was clean and always well-appointed. Studios only have 1 tv and a curtain divider compared to the 1-bedrooms that have a separate bedroom and another tv. Room had a shower instead of the tub combo she mentioned on the phone. only complaint is the extremely limited handicap parking and front parking in general. if you arrive late (I’ve done this more than once), and you park out back, you cannot get in without a key (that you don’t have cuz you haven’t checked in) so word to the wise-if you are checking in late, park under the entry and get your key, then move your car. Hard lesson learned while having a handicap kid. Otherwise, safe area, imo, lots of food options, Walmart nearby, gas nearby, Dunkin’s next door, Pizza Hut behind the hotel, very close to rt 40. The shower was randomly super cold today due to a boiler going off but of the many times I’ve stayed that isn’t normally a problem."
