"If you’re looking for a cosy, peaceful place with history, character and a warm atmosphere, 189 April Cottage is truly something special. When I first arrived, I was a little unsure because the road was quite narrow. Also, I would recommend searching “189 April Cottage” directly on Google Maps, as the first location that came up for me was somewhere else. But the moment I stepped inside this beautiful historic cottage, I realised how unique and special it was. The quietness, the history of the house, the beautiful atmosphere and the warm hospitality made the stay genuinely memorable. And the delicious breakfast was the perfect finishing touch. I would highly recommend 189 April Cottage to anyone looking for somewhere peaceful, charming and full of character. It’s not just a place to stay — it’s an experience."

"The hotel is very beautiful, with a lovely view over the countryside. The communal areas are very pleasant, the restaurant, the garden and the room next to the bar are perfect for relaxing and reading. The staff are helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and well-equipped. I had a lovely stay and would recommend the hotel. The dinner menu was also good. The location is a 15–20-minute walk from the town centre. Just bear in mind that it’s at the top of a hill, so some people might find it easier to use a car or taxi. I liked the location as it was still close to town yet peaceful, just as I wanted."

"We loved our stay at Homewood, it was the perfect place for a totally relaxing, luxury mini-break. The location is stunning, the hotel was full of charm and every detail had been thought about. Super-friendly, helpful staff and the spa facilities were great. The dinner was delicious with fresh flavours, generous portions and the breakfast was at the same standard. Highly recommended"
