"Had to wait about 10 minutes for a staff member to come to the front desk to check us in. Lobby was extremely hot- thermostat was set at 29C. They increased the deposit by $100.00. Mould on ceiling of bathroom. Lights broken."

Staff follows up by text after check-in & said they would help with any requests etc. Nice breakfast. Would like to have seen pancakes on the menu. Staff very helpful, friendly & welcoming. "The staff are always friendly and helpful. Breakfast is always a bonus, however, I would like to see increase hours of availability on the weekends. The only negative comment I have was the quality of the mattress in room 234. It was well worn, resulting in a terrible sleep. The mattresses should be inspected regularly to avoid situations like this from happening ."

"I stayed here for three nights while attending my daughters' Nipissing graduation. The room was merely okay. It smelled a bit mouldy after the rain. It could definitely use a fresh coat of paint and the bathroom was starting to fall apart. However, (and for the price) everything worked as I needed it to; hence the "okay" rating. The staff is friendly and helpful. I noticed the first floor rooms all got new mattresses (they were lined up in the hallway) and mine was perfectly comfortable. They have the unique idea of giving you three different types of pillows for each bed so that you will be able to sleep well no matter how you sleep. I appreciated that. The air conditioner worked well. The room wasn't too noisy, though the air conditioner acted as a white noise machine, so I couldn't hear the street traffic, anyway. The breakfast was merely okay; nothing to write home about, but did the job. I wasn't hungry after. For anyone else staying for other reasons -- it's right downtown and walkable to most things."
