"The location of the Hampton Inn is fantastic. About a 20 min walk to downtown and 10-15 minutes in any direction gets you plenty of restaurants. The hotel is right across from the main pick-up stop for the free shuttle that takes you to all the main places. The breakfast was ok. Normal hotel fare. The staff, especially the front desk were top notch! Very helpful and kind. Our room had an issue with getting the AC to run correctly. We froze a lot! We reported it and they sent someone in but it didn’t really work right. "

"Ideal location for walking to points of interest around Charleston. Most importantly accommodations were very clean, room was spacious and staff helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a reasonably priced hotel in Charleston especially if they don’t have a car."

"Beautiful hotel in a perfect location. Restaurant and courtyard were great to eat, drink, do a little work and get some sun. Gym is adequate for a quick workout. Walking distance to the harbor, bay, and all the great food and drink in town along, with historical sights. Staff was great."

"This is the perfect spot if you want to be close to downtown. Their shuttle runs until 10:30 at night. We used to to go to the Charleston Music hall for a concert. Perfect location."

"The outside of the building is great, the inside could definitely use updating. The tub had a chip in it that looked like it was spray painted and the shower head itself definitely looked like it was 26 years old. The price must be because of location "
