The antithesis of a boxy chain hotel. Unique rooms, eclectic decor. Affordable, safe, friendly and centrally located. Not for everyone: no TVs, no elevator. Noisy neighborhood at times with middle of the night car alarms repeatedly set off. Food is excellent with a great bar and Victorian lounge.

A very cosy hotel with unique style. Very welcoming staff going above and beyond to provide an amazing experience. Charming historic place, but note that there are no elevators and some rooms have shared bathrooms. It's walking distance (~10 min) from the metro and bus station, and located on a relatively quiet street. We greatly appreciated the hospitality.

We will be back. What a treat! It's insanely historical, quirky, artistic and cozy but classy. The room was amazing. The food and drinks were too. The staff is fantastic. Located in the most walkable area of DC.

This is a hotel with a soul. Unique art in the wall, room decor eclectic and warm. Very good restaurant on the premises ! Nice staff. The hotel does show its age so if you like minimalist cubes for a room, you may not like Tabard Inn. For me, the unique style and great food was refreshing !

The hotel is very old but charming as long as you understand that there will be no TV and the bathrooms will be a bit tight, but our room was large and comfortable. Two blocks from lots of dining and close to many sights. The food we had at the hotel was excellent. Will visit again!
