The staff were great and the breakfast was wonderful. We stayed in Room 5, which is quite spacious (though on the top level; all stairs). They have some newer "cottages" that look to be accessible for folks who don't want stairs. Some minor negatives: 1) the tea room closes at 5:30 cutting off direct access to the high street;...

"No parking at the property but the free overnight car park listed in the check in the check-in instructions worked well as it was no more than a 10 minute walk."

"I requested breakfast but was told they didn’t do it anymore. The stairs were cramped with 2 turns and inadequate/absent rails. We did not meet any staff. There was a note saying how we could ring them. The hot and cold water at the wash basin were plumbed in the wrong way round. I did not see any indicator for which was hot or cold. It matters because this is where you fill the kettle. The bed was comfortable and the room was warm."
