"The desk person was also the person with the breakfast. 30 minutes in to breakfast everything was gone, we needed to ask him if there was more food. The grill for the waffles was disgustingly dirty, more than what could happen in 30 minutes. The food was burnt on, there was a tray underneath with grease and flies. This was really disappointing as we have stayed there at least 5 or 6 times going to or coming home from Florida. Doubt I would stay again."

"We stayed in Room 3, if the other rooms were as great as ours then it would be hard to beat this location. The view of the river and sunset were awesome. The restaurant service would be hard to beat anywhere and the food was excellent. All in all we loved our stay at Surry Seafood Inn."

"I stopped for the night on a road trip. I was checked in quickly & the room was sparkling clean. I was bringing the contents of a relative's refrigerator, so I was thrilled to see the larger, apartment-size fridge, not a mini fridge. Everything in the room was very dated, but I didn't care. The mini fridge & microwave worked, and the bed was super comfortable! The staff was just one woman who may have been the owner. She was super nice & helpful."

"This was my first time staying at a budget hotel. This was just out of necessity needing to pull over somewhere to sleep on a road trip. Seemed like the people there tried to make it nice and the people themselves were nice but I'd never stay somewhere like that again. The room smelled like musty humid sweaty feet and I was afraid to walk around without socks or shoes on. The bed was ok but creaky as anything. Pillows were flat as pancakes but there was one fuzzy soft blanket so that was a plus...

"It was a last minute reservations on Memorial Day weekend and I was unable to find a place too stay last minute and luckily I was able too obtain a room ,the staff was great, and the price was very reasonable"

"Very convenient to interstate. A/C didn’t function properly. Fee for parking in their lot…never experienced that in 69 years of travel."

"The employees was very respectful down to earth. The breakfast in the morning was magnificent. You would never know it was from a hotel. Only thing I could say is the pool was very cold. I would definitely come back"

"The only thing that I enjoyed was getting my full refund back within 24hrs. The staff were polite and did the best that they could, but I was in my room for two minutes before I checked out. Rudja and Lamont were kind and understanding. With all that being said, I think this place should be investigated, it's too much of a safety hazard."

"DO NOT STAY HERE!! The facility was unattended in the early evening with a man armed with a rifle with scope wandering in and out of the adjacent woods, often within 15 feet of our window. A call to the front desk was sent to voicemail. We left our room key and a note at the desk, fled the grounds, and notified the local police.
