"ROOM HAD A GREAT VIEW"

"The hotel room showed wear and tear. Floor was mildly clean. Didnt like the shower or bathroom lighting. Used room service once, it was prompt but overly prices as with all food. We found other places to eat. The lobby was extremely noisey. We did have a partial ocean view but the lanai was small and the chairs were large and took up most of the small space. Pool areas clean."

"Our room itself was nice. We had a first floor garden view room that had a beautiful lanai that walked out to the lawn area. The property, however is under major construction. We had difficulty getting around it, and much of the amenities were unavailable or very limited. The pool area was nice. There was no pest problems while we were there, which can be an issue in Hawaii. The poolside bar was open very limited hours so we never got to enjoy it. They did not have much lighting in many of the outside areas at night which made it sketchy since we were off the beach. Overall, it is a nice place that will no doubt be a great place once the construction is done. We liked the convenience of being between the north and south shore and very close to the airport, although we didn’t notice the planes overhead much. "

"Clean room"

"The location was great. The staff is very friendly and warm. The hotel offered beach towels, chairs, coolers, umbrellas, boogie boards, etc. All the rooms are ocean front and the view was lovely. Now for the bad.... The rooms are is disrepair. Very old and outdated, very dingy and dirty. Stains on the bedding, dust and grease over all of the furniture, towel bars falling off the walls, ant traps and rat traps everywhere. The mattresses were horribly uncomfortable, with dents and springs poking through. It was uncomfortable to touch anything in the room due to how dirty things were. The AC unit had black mold growing inside (the cover was broken so we had full view of the inner workings). We were not able to use it, and my son had respiratory symptoms every time we returned to the room and all night. Our room was right in the middle of four rooms who were all traveling together. So each night they would gather and roam back and forth between the rooms, loud and intoxicated and late into the wee hours of the morning. Then, the cherry on top - the fire alarm started malfunctioning and was beeping constantly from friday until we checked out monday. And the alarm was directly outside our door. It went all night long for 3 nights. we got no sleep. We were told there was nothing they could do about it. No offer was made to move us to a different room or discount our stay or compensate us in some way for this awful experience. We will not be returning here. "

"The ocean view and the view of the pools was incredible. It was awesome to wake up to that view. The sunrise was also awesome."

"There was a gentleman the 1st day that was so helpful, tips and tricks around the way. However, sadly our last night I got up to use the restroom in the middle of the night and there we baby roaches in the restroom. Killed them over and over again, informed the front desk. Lady said she could give me a day of parking off..... yikes whhoooo hooo $25 for sharing my well with roaches. Sure hope I don't have the pleasure to bring them home. Besides the lack of monetary compensation, she really discarded the concern. Besides myself, I had a young child with me. Last thing I wanted was to end up with a room of roaches. Seeing how we spent most of our time outside of the room, wish I would've caught that sooner and switched hotels!!!"

"Amazing view of the ocean from the 10th floor. Had a beautiful lanai that gave us extra space."
