"Beautiful old mansion house converted to a lovely hotel. It was very quiet when we were there with just 1 or 2 other guests, but they looked after us well. Rooms newly redecorated (we loved the Galápagos room with undersea mural and in room clawfoot bath. Walkable to old town (15 minutes) and basilica (5 minutes) but not at night. "Excellent service! They run out to get your luggage, explain the amenities at the hotel, and show you to your room and the room’s features. Very clean! Very reasonably priced which included a bouquet of flowers, lots of snacks, a bottle of water, and a bottle of wine in our room. Hotel restaurant is almost as good as some expensive restaurants in large USA cities, but reasonably priced. The food and drink choices were plentiful and delicious."

"I had a solo stay at Vista de Angel Hotel with the purpose of relaxing and rejuvenating in Quito after a weeklong trip to the Galapagos. "We had a wonderful time at Casa Hotel Las Plazas. We really appreciated how attentive the whole staff (family) were to our needs, including scheduling of transfers. We loved the breakfasts and the explanations of the local foods and fruits."

"Staff was lovely. So quiet! We walked to dinner and though it felt perfectly safe they sent a security guard along with us who then returned for our walk home. They even sent us with packed breakfasts before our early flight (which we didn’t even ask for!) Breakfast was lovely the day we were able to eat there too. "

"This is an incredibly charming hotel. Each room is creatively and uniquely decorated. The staff treated us like family, calling us by our first names each time they saw us. Breakfast is wonderful, as is the customer service. There was not a single thing that wasn't first rate. I highly recommend the Hotel La Basílica, and if we ever return to Quito, this will be where we stay. Special shout-out to Media, Josalie and Byron."

"We very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel Inti. Daniel was a wonderful host and all staff were helpful and accommodating. We had our laundry done same day for a reasonable cost, and the included breakfast was simple but delicious. Although there wasn't a lot in the area to walk to, Ubers were easy to get and we were only about a 5 minute walk to the El Ejido Metro station. Nights were mostly quiet, although there is some traffic noise, so earplugs are recommended if you are a light sleeper....

"The hosts are so sweet. Breakfast is very good they will cook eggs and bacon fresh for you. The rooms are very clean with fresh flowers a lovely touch. There is a small bar where you can have nightcap. The area around has lots of restaurants and bars. The square seems a little sketchy but we had no problems and felt very safe. We would recommend a stay at this hotel."
