All aspects of this hostel were unique and stunning, the grounds, the room, the hallways, the bar, etc. It was a pleasure just to walk around and enjoy the architecture, The breakfast was the best we had in all three weeks of being in Portugal and the staff were attentive and polite.Truly such a pleasure to stay here and an oasis of beauty.

Amazing hotel located in an old convent. The historical personality of the building remains but is complemented by a modern and elegant decor. The restaurant is excellent and the service is super friendly.

The hotel is incredible, from the beautifully restored monastery and beautiful decoration to the breakfast, everything is simply done to perfection. It’s the perfect location for staying on your big wedding day and to relax after you go through all the planning from it. The Spa is amazing, I’ll definitely return again.

The Lince Santa Clara is a jewel of a hotel, the historical building has been beautifully renovated. The furnishings and the rooms are stylish and comfortable. The restaurant Mosteiro is exceptional, with food of an impeccable standard. Finally, all the staff in the hotel are courteous, friendly and helpful. I thoroughly recommend this hotel and hope to visit it again.

We spent three delightful days at this remarkable hotel over the São João holiday. Set within the walls of a former monastery, the property exudes a breathtaking charm that is both serene and timeless. A true gem among luxury accommodations, it provides the perfect setting for a few days of relaxation and quiet indulgence. The ambiance is further elevated by the exceptionally dedicated and highly professional staff, whose attentiveness and warmth made our stay truly memorable. We will most certainly return.

This hotel is true luxury. Staying in the most perfectly developed historical building was nothing but joyful and relaxing. The staff are proud of their roles, warm and professional. The hotel is immaculate. Rooms were cleaned to the highest standards and also turned down each evening with a home baked sweet treat left. The spa was not half measures and again is perfect. I had in fact booked this hotel by mistake, believing it to be in Porto…..it turns out to be the best mistake I made. Taxis cost no more than 18euros either way and using uber was easy. The area has lots of good restaurants that reminds be-food at the hotel is again top notch. I have nothing to even make as a suggestion as improvement for this hotel. My only negative point would be the area whilst having history is fairly unkempt.

Amazing building, amazing experience

4 night stay in July. Went to chill out and relax after visiting central Porto. Tried the amazing restaurant experience on our first night. Building is amazing and beautifully converted to a hotel. Loved waiting to see what cake would be left in our room each turndown.

Un très beau séjour

Nous avons séjourné 7 nuits en août 2025. Vila do Conde est très bien situé pour visiter tout le nord du Portugal. Nous avons un véhicule hybride, le service de valet s'occupe de mettre la voiture dans leur garage et de la mettre en charge. Vous la récupérez devant l'hôtel chargée à l'heure de votre choix. L'hôtel est vraiment très beau, la rénovation est parfaite.
